The Heritage Standard: A 50-Year Bicolano Culinary Journey
From a humble four-table garage eatery in 1976 to the premier food destination in the Bicol region. This is our story.

Humble Beginnings in a Rented Garage
In the late 1970s, fast food was virtually unheard of in the provinces. With just Php 10,000 in borrowed money, Felipe “Tyo Peping” and Felicidad “Fely” Dy opened a small turo-turo in a rented garage.
Driven by the need to support their nine children, the family worked as one cohesive unit. What they lacked in formal culinary training, they made up for in relentless resourcefulness. They read cookbooks, sampled other eateries, and performed endless taste tests.
Their improvisatory approach allowed them to act fast and respond directly to the ever-changing tastes of their customers—a philosophy that remains the heartbeat of Graceland today.
